Plants vs Zombies 2 : It's About Time

 

KOMPAS.com - Dua bulan setelah dirilis secara eksklusif untuk platform iOS, game populer Plants vs Zombies 2 akhirnya dilepas untuk Android.

Game perang melawan mayat hidup tersebut sudah bisa diunduh secara gratis melalui Google Play Store mulai hari ini, Kamis (24/10/2013).

Namun, tidak semua perangkat Android dapat digunakan untuk menjalankan game ini. Ada beberapa persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi agar dapat menikmatinya. Syarat-syaratnya, seperti dikutip dari Polygon, perangkat pengguna harus berjalan di Android versi 2.3 (Gingerbread) atau versi lebih baru, memiliki RAM minimal sebesar 1 GB, dan prosesor ARMv7 dengan kecepatan 1.0 GHz atau lebih baik.

Plants vs Zombies 2 sebenarnya sudah dirilis di platform Android beberapa saat lalu. Namun, hanya beberapa negara tertentu saja yang bisa menikmatinya. Game ini untuk pertama kalinya dapat diunduh melalui Google Play China, kemudian menyusul ke Australia dan Selandia Baru, dan terakhir dilepas ke seluruh dunia pada hari ini.

Pihak PopCap memutuskan untuk merilis game tersebut secara bertahap di beberapa negara karena ingin melakukan beberapa pengujian terlebih dahulu. Pengujian ini dilakukan untuk menguji kapasitas server, mencari cara monetisasi, dan penyimpanan file game berbasis cloud.

Plants vs Zombies 2 untuk pertama kalinya dirilis untuk iOS pada Agustus 2013 lalu. Game ini mendapatkan respon yang sangat positif dari para pemain, terlihat dari besarnya jumlah unduhan game yang mencapai 25 juta kali hingga 2 September lalu. Ia juga mendapatkan nilai 4.5 dari 5 bintang di iTunes.

Plants vs Zombies 2 adalah game kasual yang menampilkan serangan zombie ke sebuah rumah. Pemain berperan sebagai pemilik rumah yang menempatkan tanaman anti-zombi di halaman rumah.

Di seri kedua ini, PopCap menambah beberapa senjata tanaman baru, tentunya dengan berbagai fungsi baru. Tidak hanya di halaman rumah, para pemain akan diajak berpetualang ke masa lalu, dengan mengunjungi piramida dan kapal bajak laut.

Berbeda dari seri pertama, PvZ 2 hadir secara gratis. Untuk monetize, PopCap menyediakan beberapa item "in-app purchase". Pemain memang tidak harus membeli, tetapi dengan adanya item tersebut para pemain dapat lebih mudah menyelesaikan game ini.
